In a remote village in Iraq, Layla, a young woman with a spark of ambition, dreams of a life where she can work independently and afford the mental care she desperately needs. Yet, her aspirations are stifled by an abusive household, where her choices are severely limited by her family. Each day, Layla's hopes for a better future seem more distant, overshadowed by the systemic barriers imposed on her.
At Youth For Women Foundation, headquartered in Gif-sur-Yvette, France, we wake up everyday with a mission to change this narrative for millions of young people like Layla.
We are an international humanitarian organization committed to harnessing digital technologies to innovate access to sexual and reproductive health rights and mental healthcare service for youth.
Our mission is to leverage innovative digital solutions to bridge the gaps in SRHR and mental health services, particularly in rural and vulnerable communities across the Global South. By focusing on digital healthcare and literacy, we strive to empower 100,000 young people by 2030, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to create innovative solutions for their communities.
Through our commitment to advocacy, education, research, and community mobilization, we work tirelessly to create an inclusive and accessible digital health landscape where every individual can afford a healthy life of dignity and opportunity. To date, we have directly touched the lives of over 25,000 women and youth - and counting - in rural and semi-urban communities across Iraq, India, and France, just like Layla.
